The patented Top-Line system comes from Applitec and is used mainly on swiss-type automatic lathes. It is a logical extension of the Schwanog product line. The main reason for this addition is the ability to offer grooving tools to produce parts with a larger depth where the Schwanog system was before occasionally limited.

However, the Top-Line system is also quite suitable as a form cut-off tool. The inserts are ground on two sides and can be interchanged in the machine without changing the holder. Furthermore, the system is distinguished by its tight fit of the insert due to the serrated seat.
