It has been a very busy six months for Floyd with business remaining positive and we are pleased to see demand for product remaining strong, and in particular, sales of our Applitec insert program for sliding head machines continues to rise despite the competition!

Vicky Dixon-Jones who is well known to many of our clients, is shortly to go on maternity leave, and we are pleased to have Sarah Canty who has joined the team to help fill the gap! We welcome Sarah, and wish Vicky all the best for the coming event.
25 YEARS IN SERVICE
This year we celebrate our 25 years in the business. The company started in December 1990 with Richard Floyd and just two members of staff, and now the company has grown to 12 people with the latest recruits being Lee Wilkinson and Emma Lavery. Lee is our internal technical support Engineer, and Emma looks after our design, marketing and website.
EARLY CLOSURE! We are planning a celebration with the staff on the weekend of the 1st August, and so for just once we are closing the office early on Friday the 31st July from 12.00hrs.
SUMMER HOLIDAYS
July & August. Yes, it’s that time of year again when we look forward to a holiday. Whilst our offices do not close during the summer period, many of our Swiss and other European suppliers do close their production from around mid-July to mid-August. So before you take a break, remember to make provision for your tooling needs!

25th July 2015. Members of the British Turned Parts Manufacturers Association meet at DeVere Staverton Park in Daventry for their general meeting, followed by their annual sporting events of Golf and Karting. As part of our 25-year celebration, Floyd sponsored the Karting event this year. There was a exciting climax to the grueling 15 lap final, where Simon Dawson, of Dawson Precision Ltd, who had been on the tail of Steve Brown from Turning Technologies Ltd, for nearly the entire race, finally managed to pass him and take the Chequered flag! Congratulations Simon! If you are a subcontract precision component manufacturer, then you can benefit from being a member of the British Turned Parts Manufacturers Association.
